1. The service

The app converts documents and images. Supported conversions, limits and the processing location (on this device or our servers in Kazakhstan) are shown before each conversion. A conversion counts as successful only when a validated result is available. We do not promise identical layout for every file, universal format support, OCR of scanned pages, or editable slides when the output consists of page images.

2. Free use and introductory conversions

On-device tools have no conversion count limit, subject to file, pixel and page safety limits. An eligible App Store customer receives 2 successful server conversions once per Apple Account. This is not an auto-renewing free trial.

3. Pro subscription

  • Monthly and annual plans (US base prices $2.99/month and $14.99/year; your local price is shown by the App Store before purchase). Both plans give the same service level.
  • Pro includes all enabled server converters, server inputs up to 100 MB (format limits apply), 100 successful server conversions per rolling 30 days, up to 20 new server starts per rolling 24 hours, local batch conversion of up to 50 images and server batches of up to 20 documents.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
  • Renewal, plan changes and reinstalling do not reset the rolling windows. There are no rollovers or credit add-ons.

4. Allowance accounting

A credit is reserved when a job is accepted and consumed only when a validated result is ready. It is released after cancellation before readiness, unsupported input, processing failure or infrastructure timeout. Downloading a ready result again is free. A result that expires because it was not downloaded still counts. Compression that does not produce a smaller file does not consume a successful conversion.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to your files. You must have the right to convert them. You give us only the permission needed to process them for the conversion you request. Server results are deleted 2 hours after they are ready, or earlier when you choose Delete from server now. Keep your own copies; we are not a storage service.

6. Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content or malware, attempt to bypass limits or isolation, automate abusive request volumes, or interfere with the service.

7. Availability

There is no availability or turnaround guarantee. We may pause new server jobs for maintenance or security reasons; on-device tools keep working.

8. Liability

The service is provided as described in the app. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of files you did not keep a copy of; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law in your country does not allow to be limited.

9. Changes and law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live. We announce material changes in the app or on convertoom.com before they apply; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
